Capita awarded place on public services network

Capita awarded place on public services network (PSN) connectivity framework.

Capita’s IT services business has been awarded a place by Government Procurement Service on a two year Public Services Network (PSN) framework agreement to supply connectivity services across the public sector.

The multi-supplier framework will enable Capita to provide wide area networking and connectivity to bodies across the public sector, using the latest in technology and Capita’s expertise in service integration.

Commencing in April 2012, the framework will change the way in which the public sector will buy and use voice and data networks by driving efficiency and reducing costs.

Capita’s IT services business will bring a wealth of secure, scalable networking capabilities, which will complement Capita’s wider work with the public sector and underline its commitment to this market.

Mark Quartermaine, managing director of Capita’s IT services business said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to build upon our current relationships across the public sector.

“Capita’s IT services business has a broad service offering which can transform how our clients operate, putting us in a unique position within the framework. Our recent trail of acquisitions has brought expertise in a range of new areas which strengthens our service and brings a wealth of added value to the framework.”
